I have been trying to fix a friends Lenovo G550 running Windows 7 Home Premium. The laptop won't boot and gives BSOD error "STOP: 0x000000F4 (0x00000003, 0x887925C8, 0x88792734 ...)" the codes in brackets change each time. It then does a crash dump and reboots. There has been no new hardware or programs installed recently (apparently). These are the steps I have taken: Boot in all versions...

System Specs: * ACPI x64 based PC * WDC WD10EARS-00MVWB0 * NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti * TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223C * Intel i7 2600k My computer screen suddenly blinked this morning, then it recovered and I didn't mind it. Then, when I was playing LoL, this problem kept persisting. The screen blinked on and off probably six to seven times, then it recovered again. A few hours later it...

BSOD running Plex Media Server, now NIC not working and locking up

OK, I've been doing a fresh install of Windows 7 x64 and had almost finished installing all the software, when I found it would BSOD whenever I tried to run Plex Media Server, which scans certain folders to build a media database. Running defrag didn't cause any problems, so it didn't seem to be an issue with accessing the disk as such. I posted the dump from that BSOD at the Plex forum and...

While using my PC it has been blue screening semi regularly. I thought it was something to do with my dual RAM stick originally so I tried using one at a time and tried both. This didn't help so I tried switching from my GTX680 graphics card to the on board graphics card which stopped one of the blue screens from happening although I'm not sure which one. I don't know a great deal about...

Buzzing lag and BSOD

Occasionally, but a lot more recently, I've had an issue with my computer lagging a bit. It wouldn't freeze up, but it would do sort of a half-a-second pause where the audio playing would buzz and then it would go back to normal. It would do it periodically whenever I was playing a game, watching a video, or listening to music. On occasion, I've even had my PC crash. I previously had this...

BSOD after about 20 mins

Sometimes after about 20 minutes of running the pc starts to degrade it's performance. I notice that when opening and closing web browsers the mouse will start to drag really slowly for a few seconds, and sometimes switching between other windows causes it as well. Sometimes it does not happen at all, but it almost always happens after about 20 minutes of watching a video or playing a game...

Intermittent Random Shutdowns, No BSODs or info in Event Viewer

Summary: computer is intermittently (but against my will) shutting down 'properly' (i.e. by trying to close open programs first), and also sometimes it crashes and generates a BSOD (which seems to be related to graphics card). I am currently trying to get the crashdumps off the machine. Note it has shutdown 15 times today, but only 3 minidumps are available. It appears to be a combination...

Installing driver when windows won't boot

I apologize for the typo on the thread title I installed a new beta graphics driver (zonescreen), this caused a BSOD. Now my computer wiill not boot, it gets past POST, and I can get into BIOS and a Ubuntu Live session, but if I try to boot into windows, I get a blinking white underscore in the top left corner for a few seconds, then a black screen until it restarts about 5 minutes later. What...

Hi sevenforums, In the last 10 days i had 14 BSOD like MEMORY_MANAGEMENT 0x0000001a, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION 0x0000003b, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0x000000d1, UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP 0x0000007f, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 0x00000050 etc. And the only thing in common is that all of them are cause by same driver the ntoskrnl.exe(or at least this is what the BlueScreenView points out)....

BSOD Win 7 Ultimate While Opening Desktop Items

I have a two (2) year old Lenovo E420 Laptop running Win 7 Ultimate, 4 GB memory and a 420Gb hard disk (no SSD). This machine has been a rock of reliability all these years; not *_one_* issue until today. And yes, it's always been updated regularly, scanned regularly, etc. so it's pretty clean. Today I was on my desktop where I had a couple of Excel and Word files and folders. Went to...

BSOD randomly trying to narrow down

I"ve been having BSOD's randomly for years now. I went through a period recently of not having any for 5 months or so until they started reoccurring. I've always had an overclock although I am not an expert at it. For the purposes of trying to finally figure out what is causing the BSOD's I've gone to default BIOS settings. I can add that I have had the BSOD's even when not overclocked. ...

My PC now blue screens at what appears to be random times. Sometimes it happens when I'm using the internet or it happens right as my computer starts up, but now it does it as I log into Windows 7. The blue screen says INTERRUPT_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED at the top and at the bottom it says STOP: 0x0000003D. I also have my OS installed on my SSD. I'm guessing it may be to do with my drivers. My...

Computer shuts down like power outtage, Kernel Power Error ID 41

0

Recently I installed a new game on my computer (*Far Cry 3*), and after a while playing it, my computer suddenly shut down, just like a power outtage (except the power was not out). After debating with friends, I went more towards a hardware problem rather than a software problem, so I thought something could have too high temperature (CPU, GPU, the HDD, etc.). I have two HDD's, and they...
