Hi,
I just got a German computer (an Ankermann):http://www.amazon.co.uk/ANKERMANN-PC-WildCAT-Cardreader-24xDVD-Writer-warranty/dp/B0088E1G2G/ref=pd_sim_sbs_computers_1 (edit: sorry link pointed to wrong computer).
And if I leave it on for a long duration (such as when I'm uploading or downloading) by the time I come back it has crashed.
