BSOD while idling, playing games

Hello all, I'm having a BSOD issue when my computer idles, or randomly while playing games. I thought for a long while it was a hardware issue, and have swapped in new RAM and a new motherboard, but the issue continues. You will notice a ~one month discrepancy between the date of the most recent dump file and the previous - I was waiting on my replacement motherboard during this time. If...

About a week ago my computer BSOD'd on me in the middle of the day. Prior to the BSOD I had noticed an unusual amount of slow down on the screen refresh when watching a video. Since that BSOD, anytime I put my computer into sleep mode, I cannot wake it up. I have to physically restart it. Windows has on all 3 occasions that I put it to sleep saved a minidump file for the crash. I am not...

Hello ! I'm currently running into that famous ''atikmdag.sys BSOD''. I have an old HP/Compaq 6830s laptop frop 2009. The LCD screen died from old age, I have it plugged into a CRT monitor. I had that BSOD a few months ago, I tried the ''expand the .sys file'' trick, then I formatted my computer and installed Linux Mint 13, then I went back to Windows 7. All went perfectly. Then, last...

Hello, We are having an employee who has been getting a few bluescreens lately. I thought it was due to the NVidia drivers, but an update didn't seem to make much of a difference. New to this forum so I am attaching the dump in case anyone is able to diagnose any further. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello there, I've had my computer for three months, it's a custom build. Since Saturday it started to BSOD on me whenever I was playing a game, watching a film, or even using Firefox/Chrome to browse the internet. I figured it was an update that had gone wrong, as I had received a number of Windows updates, in addition to the latest Nvidia driver. Rolling back my driver seemed to fix it at...

Really Slow shutdown and startup

My wife's laptop "recently" started taking much longer then usual to shutdown. Normally it would be 20-30 seconds for a full reboot. Now it takes a couple of minutes to shut down, and a couple of minutes to boot. I have tried updating drivers, disabling services and startup items, disabling drivers, setting "verbose" mode to see more detail about what stage the hang is taking place, and many...

I have been having a rash of BSOD over a period of many months. I began having BSODs (ntoskrnl) during alt-tabbing(while gaming) and on wake-up from sleep. It seemed to not happen if I disconnected my 2nd monitor. So I figured my vid card was starting to go. So I swapped cards. Problem went away for awhile, then nvlddmkm bsod on sleep-wakeups, so that pointed to the swapped vid card drivers....

Hey guys, I have been getting an infrequent 0x124 BSOD at seemingly random times. Once it was a few minutes after booting up, then I wouldn't see it again for a few days. My research says that this is usually a hardware fault, and I have checked and re-seated all my components to the best of my knowledge but the crash still occurs. I have included a data log with hopes that someone can decode...

Hello, I am sorry for the lack of information there will be in this thread, but I am both not very smart with computers, and am not able to get much information due to this BSOD. I had this computer for a few years, custom built, and reliable for a while. Having it for three years the hard drive got filled up with crap I had downloaded when I was 12, and was clueless. I finally looked...

couple of times now I've gone to exit a game or alt tab, and bam, BSOD.. unfortunately a PCI-E SSD means my rig saves and restarts before I get a good look at the stop codes, so I figured I'd toss my rig out to the mercy of the help desk to see what's crippling my poor PC. hopefully I've managed to follow the instructions on how to post, if not, please let me know what information is required.

BSOD on new build, usually when waking up from sleep

I'm desperately running out of ideas. This is a new build and I've been having blue screens since the beginning. The first one happened during Windows installation so I'm leaning towards a hardware problem as opposed to a driver/software. Almost all of BSODs happen when I wake it from the sleep - it blue screens and reboots. Only one time it happened during normal operation. It started as...

Intermittent BSODs with no obvious commonality

I have been having BSOD issues for the past few months, they started very rarely and have become increasingly more common, to the point where I will crash once every other day at least. There does not seem to be a common cause to them, they have happened playing games, writing email, clicking links, receiving messages on Steam, and even overnight when nothing out of the ordinary would have...

This started happening two months ago and has now happened three times this month. I notice my wifi/internet disconnects first, then my pc hangs up if I try to use any Windows System apps (i.e. control panel, system panel, etc..). When I try to reboot the pc it just hangs until I get the BSOD and then it'll reboot. I have attached a zip file with the last four crash dump files. I also attached a...

Hi everyone, I got a computer in feb this year, and for about 2-3 months everything was fine. Since then random bsods started to occur, but i mostly ignored them since I did not get one bsod while in a game. However lately they are occuring a lot more often, mostly when browsing. Also everytime i open my computer everything works so slow for like 2 minutes, it's a freeze but not so much, and when...
