Dear Sevenforums people, I'm having some troubles with a computer which I can't resolve. Therefore I need your expertise! The problem: Well, BSOD's at the most random moments. ==> ntoskrnl.exe is the faulty one. Mostly when I'm surfing on the I-net. The things I tried to do to resolve the problem:

Blue Screen while playing various games; afd.sys and ntfs.sys

For few days I've been experiencing BSODs while playing. The error messages spoke of files afd.sys and ntfs.sys. Regular computer use (browsing internet, printing, using text edditors etc.) causes no such issue. Attached are dump files collected by SF Diagnostic Tool.

So last week I posted about BSOD's just after the computer booted up and/or I logged in: http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/329423-bsod-just-after-logging-desktop-comes-up.html I ran tests and found bad sectors on my original 3 1/2 year old Seagate 1 TB drive. So I went ahead and installed a new WD drive yesterday and started a clean reinstall of my stuff. I reinstalled Office...

When I put my pc in sleep mode it often crashes: the screen goes normally in sleep mode, but the pc continues to stay awake for several minutes than BSOD & restart or BSOD & shut off. Thanks to BlueScreenView I found what is seemingly the guilty process, but I don't know what to do now. Attachment 315989 (http://www.sevenforums.com/attachments/bsod-help-support/315989-bsod-when-goes-sleep-ntoskrnl-exe-e96d2-ntoskrnl-exe-81e7a-wakk.rar) Thanks Also, sorry for...

Windows 7 64 bit Freezes and cannot boot new programs (DCOM?)

To get straight onto the matter; this is a relatively new PC (built Feb 2014). It freezes on an almost daily basis and I'm rather at the end of my tether. The freeze is unusual in that I can still work the mouse and click around and even sometimes use currently active programs; but not start any new programs, such as that I cannot even get task manager up (not with ALT-CTRL-DEL or CTRL-SHIFT-ESC)...

Hello, I have been getting this BSOD about every 2 months, and have been meaning to look into it. Today I received 3 times within 4 hours. Each time I was not doing anything different than my normal use.

BSOD while shutting down Windows 7 32bit PC

I have the above mentioned problem on my brother's desktop PC, which I recently did a complete fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit, after he complained that he has been experiencing some slow down and also one major issue was that the PC was frequently asking for either a Windows Repair or Start Windows Normally at start up. He would select Start Windows Normally, but that would not boot...

BSOD in various games, error 0x00000124

My kids tend to play games (Lego Lord of the Rings, Lego Clone Wars, etc) whilst I'm at work and have experienced occasional but repeated BSODs. They always have cooling turned up when playing. The computer is overclocked but has been since new (with lots of testing via Prime95, FurMark, etc), without any problems when I'm using it. I'm down to figuring there's something my sons are doing or...

Hey guys, I was hoping you could give me a hand with my desktop. Over the last few weeks my computer has been getting BSODs while playing games. While it manages to idle it has no problems. This started about two weeks ago. Outside of a change to heat sink no major hardware changes have been made (The heat sink was changed after the BSOD's began occurring). Attached is the information...

Hey all! Writing this for the second time as my comp BSOD'd while I was first writing this. So, I recently (last two weeks) installed a new SSD into my 5 year old laptop. Onto this I put a fresh windows 7 installation. Since then I've gotten 6 BSOD's as well as some random crashes that didn't produce a dump file. They weren't always while doing the same thing, although about half have...

BSOD System Service Exception 3B

Hi SevenForums, I'm here for some much needed help. You guys seem like a great community, I'm mainly active at overclock.net but solving BSODs seem like your area of expertise! Background: I've built my computer and had it for a few years now, with no major hiccups, until now. It's a very nice custom mATX build, powerful too. I'm mainly seeing System Service Exception 3B and Page Fault in...

progressive and recurring BSOD errors (volmgrx, fvevol, msrpc).sys

And so after 3 years of using my office computer full-time, bsod errors have finally begun to show up from rarely, to moderately and as of today, on a daily basis. These bsod are more likely to happen when I am pushing my computer resources to the max like when running several x64 applications at once and using up almost all my 16gb of ram, or just the opposite, I am inactive with the use of...

Windows keeps crashing - BSOD and random shutdowns

Hello - if someone could help, i'd be eternally grateful! I have an ASUS laptop that is not even a year old, running on Win7 64bit. For the past few weeks the computer has been crashing periodically, sometimes BSOD and sometimes just random shutdowns. It's driving me crazy, and especially since this computer is my livelihood, I'm wondering if I just have to chuck it and get a new one. I don't...

My computer repeatedly and quickly gives me a blue screen

As stated in the title, my computer recently has been giving me the blue error screen that Windows normally gives and then shortly after restarts. It says that the computer is being shut down to prevent lost files but instead of actually shutting down it instead restarts. If I leave it at the log-in screen nothing usually happens. It is not until I actually try to log in that I get the screen at...

Numerous BSOD's. Normally caused while in sleep / putting to sleep.

Hello Seveners! I have been having trouble with a BSOD for a while now. It is getting to that extent that I bare it any longer! I need help! Firstly, these BSOD's have been happening randomly, but normally the case is while it is in sleep, or when I put it to sleep, the screen will go black, but the laptop will refuse to actually sleep. It remains in this state of useless on-ness until...
